FOTO FRIDAY: BLACK HISTORY MONTH
The following is not one of my photos nor my words but it is what I hope we all think about when we have to name one month out of the year to share the history of a segment of our population:

TBT: TWO YEARS AGO
Ironically two years ago on BLOGSPOT I wrote about a 50 degree day just like the one we had this past Sunday. It felt so great to just sit on the front porch swing and feel the sunshine on one’s face. Supposedly we only have about a month more of this winter … but read below about the MELTDOWN of 2018:
MONDAY MELTDOWN FEBRUARY 26, 2018 – chaseburg.blogspot.com
Mondays mornings certainly can be iffy. Do you by any chance start your Monday ‘TO DO list Sunday night?
Well, I am one of those people who do and perhaps that’s why Mondays can be my most productive day.
Due to the meltdown our driveway had started its own stream as the surrounding hills’s snow seemed to have pretty much melted and I was wondering if I would need waders.
Coon Creek was really moving with its waters at bank level. The trail fortunately was unusually clear with just a couple of north facing sides with some melting ice
MOVING BACK to MY OLD SITE
As fore mentioned I am making the move back to my old website/creating a new website page if I can’t use the old address.
I will be transferring files through the week and hopefully be back in action next Monday to start March 2020 back where my blog began.
Meanwhile tomorrow TBT and FOTO FRIDAY will still be here on wordpress.com
Thanks for being patient and coming along as I move… I will miss you if you don’t.

MONDAY MUSINGS: LONG DAY
Do you know what you get when you go to bed too early on a Sunday night?
A ‘really’ long Monday…

The only saving grace might be a late afternoon nap as I have been up since the wee hours of the morn…
Positives of getting up early are getting stuff done. Mail was answered, 2 jigsaw puzzles were completed ( I was a day behind), did some reading, made lunches due to a long hospital day with Infusion # 4, fed the dog, wrote this post and probably will finish folding yesterday’s laundry…
Natureman will sleep his customary 9 hours, have his breakfast before chores. Then we’ll need to leave the house a bit earlier than usual to drop Balto off at doggie daycare before heading to the Y for our LiveStrong class.
Yeah, ‘might need to tone the workout down a bit so I don’t end up flat on my face…

I’m really looking forward to that nap…
Have a great week folks.

FOTO FRIDAY: BALTO
How did I ever miss National Pet Day ? Well, there were a couple other things on my plate this week…
Every day is pet day for us anyway as our ever companionable rescue dog Balto is always around for a pet / to give us a lick. This guy still can’t control his “licker”…
Balto’s first year anniversary with us is rapidly approaching as March was when we picked him up from his last foster homes in Beloit. He had been rescued from Houston, Texas. His fear of leaving home on his own has dissipated somewhat as he has begun to explore the 44 acres this winter looking for deer carcass. Just this week he dragged another one back to the house. Thank goodness he doesn’t want to bring them in…
But we discovered Balto loves snow and making doggie snow angels! He might have liked the air conditioning in Texas but he loves lying and rolling in the snow too…
Welcome to Wisconsin Winters Balto. Snow is one thing we can guarantee you living here.

He also has been enjoying occasional doggie daycare at Pet Me, Scratch Me when we have long hospital days. His demeanor makes him a very popular guy with both staff and other doggies.

Do share you pet pics! Send them this way and they’ll be included.

Hershey from Eagan, MN- family pet of Natureman’s youngest sister’s family chimed in that he was game for notoriety
The Short’s family pet, Lily, knows how to dress for Wisconsin’s weather…

Lily ( Lily Lieblong Von Short) also advises other midwestern dogs to not forget to cover their ears…

Ace and Alicia hailed from the D.C. are but now are Arkansans just like Ginger.

Did you see some of the beautiful Valentine flowers from last week’s FOTO FRIDAY? Take a gander:
